Just finished my calendar book. I bought the 12 pocket tag calendar album from Pine
Cone Press. It came with lots of bright and cartoonish papers and embellishments. I decided to make it my
own by using different products. I choose to use the Once Upon a Springtime paper from Graphic 45. I used lots of flowers, ribbons, lace, gemstones, pearls, buttons and completed it with lots and lots of chalk. Chestnut Roan chalk is my signature for all my projects.

It was a little bit time consuming putting the guts of the book together. The red tape adhesive may it easier. I would definitely recommend decorating the pages before assembling the actual book. Each of the monthly pockets has a pull out calendar in it, making it easy to track appointments and special dates. It was lots of fun to decorate, I used up quite a few odds and end embellishments.

And of course featured in my book are some of my most favorite subjects, my grandchildren, Macey, Hunter and Tatum.

Thanks for visiting!! Enjoy your day.

One of most favorite things is make cards. Especially when using my Copic markers. I'm far from an expert with them, but practice makes perfect or at least that's what I've been told. I enjoy the coloring part, reminds me of being a little kid. Its fun to blend the colors together. Someone once asked me if I colored my imagines to match my paper, I don't. I know that somewhere in this mountain of paper I have collected there is always a match.

The first card features paper by my minds eye, I used my Copics to color the image. I also added glossy accents on the rain drops. its hard to see in the photo but in person the drops really look wet. The second card is stamped with a Magnolia stamp. I LoVe Tilda, Magnolia stamps are my ultimate favorite stamp ever. Again its hard to see in the photo but I used flower soft on the flower bouquet. The last card is using a digi stamp. Its lots of fun to use could be get well, surprise, things could be worse I choose to add "Stuff Happens" and does it ever sometimes. I use white flower soft on the chair to give it a more dimensional look.

With this crazy weather we are enduring this winter, watch for more cards to pop up on my blog. Nothing better to do on a snowy- icy day than to SCRAP!!

I made this little chipboard "love" book a few weeks ago. The book is by Bo Bunny, the paper is Love Birds by Fancy Pants, and the embellishments are from my vast stash. I used my scissors and wooden file to sand down the edges. This is typically the way I paper all my chipboard pieces. I just bought the new distress tool by Imaginisce. I resanded my corners and edges with it. Can I just say it is AwEsOme. It runs on 2 AA batteries and works like a charm. It really gets into the corners and gets both sides at the same time. I'm hooked, quick, easy, and best of all less mess. I love new scrapbook toys.

This is a real red letter day for me. My very first post on my blog. I am excited, I want this to be a place the I can share and learn. I can't wait to post some pictures of some of the finished projects that I have been working on. I love being creative.
This new year promises to be big turning point in my life. I have decide to get a little bit selfish and focus on "ME". There are many things that I want to accomplish in 2011. This blog is just the first one on my "big" to do list. Life is going to get very interesting.
